Nero 9 আসার পর থেকে খুব যন্ত্রনায় ছিলাম,এত ভারি প্রোগ্রাম যে খুব বিরক্ত লাগছিল।একটা বার্নিং সফটওয়্যার যদি 1 GB এর উপরে যায়গা দখল করে তবে সেটা মেনে নেওয়া যায় না।এর পর আমি ইনফ্রা রেকর্ডার এর সন্ধান পাই কিন্তু সিডি ঢুকানোর পর সিডি পায় না।আমার ধারনা SATA DVD writer support করে না।তাই এখন CD Burner XP অথবা AshampooBurningStudio ব্যবহার করছি।

First of all, I’d like to mention that one who only wants to burn DATA into the disc, for him NERO is not suitable.

ঘটনা হল পাইরেসির জন্য এই নেরো এতই সহজলভ্য হয়ে গিয়েছে যে আমরা তার মর্ম উপলব্ধি করতে পারছিনা। টাকা দিয়ে নেরর ফুল-ভার্সন কিনতে গেলে ঠিকই এর মর্ম বুঝতেন। ডাউনলোডকৃত .avi কিংবা .mkv ফাইল ফরমেট কে সাধারন ডিভিডি ফরমেট এ এনকোডিং করা, আরও কত টুক টাক কাজ এ নেরো ছিল অদ্বিতীয়।

ইনফ্রারেকর্ডার নাম আগে শুনেছিলাম। এখন দেখি ব্যাবহার করে…

it is require as there is no speed control.If u write at the 16x max speed of dvd burners the discs will fail preety soon!The limit of the softs are to ensure that all the data is properly writen!

I do not use any software except that comes builtin with windows explorer for data writing- sometimes I use isocopy (its an internal tool from my company) to create bootable disk- but for data writing why bother with software??

I don’t know what do you mean by not stable thing. I’m not a CD/DVD burning shop but I burn something like 50 DVDs per month and this software did not lost any of the disks. So I see nothing unstable.

Apart from that I see no point spending money (until/unless you are using a pirated version) on a simple burning software.

The installer is just 1.9 MB (Windows only). Apart from burning Audio CDs it does everything else a burning software should.

But the problem is, if you regularly burn disks, infra would prove to be a bad choice. Infra isn’t really stable. Sure, it’s OSS, but not really up to the mark.

There’s another free (not OSS though) cd burner: CD burner XP. That’s another crappy yet somewhat popular tool like infraburner.

There are a few CLI tools on linux which are better than their gui counterparts, but YMMV.

Nero has become a bloated pile of dung lately. On windows, I use a burner suite called Droppix recorder – it’s stable, and bloat level is somewhere in between nero and infra.
